New Steam: 3.0
This article has been imported from The Steam Review’s previous host, and has had its original posting date retained.
Subscribers have started to receive the October issue of Computer Gaming World, which features nothing short of a Valve bonanza – including the revelation that Steam platform updates have been thin on the ground in recent months due to development of the ‘rearchitectured’ version 3.0. This is a major turning point in Steam’s history, and the news is all the more welcome because 3.0 is so well developed, already running in a basic state alongside 2.0 on all client computers. There is of course no official release date, but expect it to come shortly before a game release, probably Aftermath.
There isn’t any information yet on just what 3.0 is, but rest assured that you will find it here as soon as it is known, and possibly sooner!
