New feed structure

Public Service Announcement :: October 26th, 2006 :: Site news :: 5 Responses

Seeing as the most popular feed reader for TSR’s subscribers (now bumping gently against 150!) is Firefox’s Live Bookmarks, which can’t display the contents of posts, I’ve reverted the basic site feed to its original, smaller, excerpt-only form.

If you want to receive the full text of each post in your feed and don’t mind the larger download, your new URL is http://feeds.feedburner.com/steamreview-fulltext.

    I’m one of your subscribers and of course I have to agree that your offer of different feeds is great. I’m very interested in the data you gained about what kind of RSS-programs your readers use. First of course because of my natural curiosity 😉 and second because I too use firefox to read your feeds but not with the integrated function but the Sage Add-on. This add-on adds a lot of functionalities like reading the content of the feed. Are the users of add-ons shown separately in your statistics? You could make me and other interested readers very happy by posting your data.

    Oh, go on then. Sorry for the hackiness.

    I like your stats page.

    I use the FireFox RSS.

    Not quite, Ken:

    Google does not currently report the number of subscribers to your feed when it requests the feed, so the number of subscribers you have on Google home or Google Feed reader may be underrepresented by an unknown amount.
