<!--%kramer-ref-pre%-->[...] You could argue stuff like Steam are becoming something like console platforms for PC games, though. Is it publicly known how much Valve takes from a sale? Not publically, though a few select guys have released information. Revenue split with indies is about 60/40 (Developer/Valve) according to an old site called The Steam Review. [...]<!--%kramer-ref-post%-->

I bought l4d2 and it says "game unavailable" I did everything in the web support and it still is not working. I spoke with a steam rep and he said to do the same crap i did before. it still did not work. I ran it under -dev and it started to work for a week. Then it stopped. Nothing was added or changed to my computer between thos times. Steam has a zero return policy..which is kind of illegal if the product doesn't work but 30 bucks is too little too sue for so they get away with it. Their support is horrible. You tell them the steps you went through to fix it..and they basically don't read what you said... and reply 2 days later telling you to do the same thing. It's a ploy to get you to keep waiting to talk to them so you do'nt quickly stop the charge on your credit card.
